Delta Hospital provides first point of contact services to the community that helps diagnose, treat, and prevent disease, illness, and injury. As well as a Rapid Access Clinic that provides some specialized care, it has 58 acute care beds; in addition, Delta Hospital’s Mountain View Manor has 92 beds as a residential care unit.
The hospital employs over 580 people to provide quality healthcare to the community. Volunteers assist to enhance the overall patient experience through a variety of programs and services and are valued members of the health care team.
The local community takes real pride in their hospital and many local events and fundraisers are held each year in support of Delta Hospital.

As ‘Sunny South Delta’ tends to have a mild climate, there are many great things to see and do year round. Take a tour down the Fraser River, bird watch on the many dyke trails, marshes, or the Delta Nature Reserve. Mountain bike down the trails at Watershed park or have a lazy beach day down on Centennial Beach. Purchase fresh produce from the market in the summer and watch world-class cyclists during the Tour de Delta.
South Delta has a natural beauty that is meant to be celebrated. There are many local parks in each neighbourhood but there are also many larger parks and nature conservancies like Boundary Bay Regional Park, Watershed Park, and the Dyke that runs from Boundary Bay to East Ladner overlooking the ocean. They have open space and natural beauty just waiting to be discovered by you!
South Delta has a number of soccer and baseball fields as well as seven tennis courts. And if you enjoy playing golf or are interested in learning, South Delta has a number of local courses suitable for all levels of play.
Tsawwassen and Ladner each have their own recreation centres with gym and pool with fitness classes for all levels. They both also host arenas used by the many youth and adult hockey and lacrosse leagues year round. Both towns also have large gymnastics centres with classes for youth.
